Be it theme park tickets, tours, cruises, airport transfers, whale watching or anything else you’d like to do, you can be assured of always receiving the latest specials and benefiting from being able to “jump the queue” on arrival if you purchase your tickets from Biarritz Apartments. If you’d prefer to get organised before you arrive, you can pre-purchase your tickets here knowing you’ll get the same great deals and benefits.

THE WATER – IT’S GREAT TO BE IN IT, ON IT OR BY IT

Swimming, surfing, fishing, whale watching, cruising the canals, soaking up some rays, playing volleyball, running, walking, yoga, a picnic, or simply delighting the senses with the fresh air, the sound of the waves, the sand between your toes, the water washing past your skin or the sun induced shimmer on the surface; it’s no wonder they named this the Gold Coast!

THE HINTERLAND - A WORLD AWAY

Travel west for little more than half an hour and you’ll think you’re in another world. Waterfalls, winding roads, cool tree canopies, singing birds, a myriad of walking and hiking tracks, delightful villages, daredevil hang gliders, glow worms, tasty wineries and the amazing vegetation of sub-tropical rain forest awaits you in the Gold Coast hinterland. Visit Tamborine, Springbrook, Beechmont, Binna Burra, Canungra and more to experience great views and an incredible contrast to the high rise landscape along the Coast.

THE SHOPS – WILL IT BE RETAIL THERAPY OR SHOP TILL YOU DROP?

Pacific Fair, Oasis, Robina, Australia Fair, Harbour Town and Helensvale Shopping Centres are like heaven to the avid shopper. But that’s not all. If you’re looking for that something different try the abundance of local suburban shopping centres and keep your eyes open for the delightful little street front shops dotted throughout the Coast. If that’s not enough, there are always the surf wear companies’ factory outlets, where a bargain is almost assured.

THE THEME PARKS AND ATTRACTIONS – NOW THEY’RE EXCITING

Dreamworld, White Water World, Movieworld, Wet ‘n’ Wild, Sea World. The biggest decision is which one do you go to first? The Gold Coast’s famous theme parks have continually developed over the years to become great entertainment value for all the family, no matter what the age. As well as more and more new and exciting rides, things like Tiger Island and Wiggle World at Dreamworld, the stunt shows at Movieworld and the always entertaining dolphin shows at Sea World mean everyone can be assured of a great day out. It doesn’t end there though. There are many other great attractions within easy reach of Biarritz such as the ever popular and increasingly interactive Currumbin Sanctuary, Tropical Fruit World and Australia Zoo. You can even feed the dolphins at Tangalooma or if feeling fit, climb Mt Warning, the first point on the Australian mainland to greet the sun each morning.

THE RESTAURANTS – YOU’LL NEED TO STAY A LONG TIME TO VISIT THEM ALL

Whether its silver service or fish and chips you’re after, Biarritz is within easy access of an enormous number of quality restaurants. Why not live it up by selecting a fabulous restaurant in Broadbeach or at Jupiters Casino? If you’re seeking something a bit more relaxed, there’s always the delicious local restaurants within a couple of blocks of Biarritz or the nearby surf clubs, where a friendly welcome is always assured. Want to just chill out? Why not fish and chips on the beach, or make the most of the warm evenings with a nice BBQ at Biarritz or at one of the many great facilities along the beach front?

THE MARKETS – SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM

Hardly a day goes by without a great market to explore on the Gold Coast. Whether it be a beachfront art and craft market at Broadbeach on the weekend or along the Surfers Paradise foreshore of an evening, the Carrara flea market or one of many delicious farmers markets dotted around the Coast with their great fresh produce, there’s always a bargain to be found.

THE SPORTING EVENTS AND VENUES – ALMOST TOO MANY TO MENTION

It’s always a pleasure to watch or take part in almost any sport that interests you on the Gold Coast. With its great weather and fantastic venues, the Coast is fast becoming one of Australia’s sporting hubs – and this will only accelerate if its bid to win the Commonwealth Games in 2018 is successful. The multi purpose Metricon  Stadium (AFL) and Skilled Park (NRL) are two of the best “boutique” stadiums in Australia. Add to that a huge number of golf courses, bowls clubs, tennis courts and some great athletics facilities and you start to get the picture. Then of course there’s some of the worlds premier surf breaks, world pro surfing tour events, the Australian Surf Lifesaving Championships, the Gold Coast Marathon and the V8 Supercars Armor All Gold Coast 600 to name just a few. Sports fans will be coming back to the Coast time and time again to enjoy what’s on offer.

THE ARTS, SHOWS, FESTIVALS AND VENUES – WHERE DO YOU START?

Seeking a bit of culture? The Gold Coast is much more than glitz, glamour and a sporting mecca. The Gold Coast Arts Centre is always worth a visit, with its variety of films, art and entertainment in the “Basement”. There are also some great little local theatres and galleries, including one just a couple of blocks from Biarritz. Jupiters Casino almost always has a great live stage show running and offers some fantastic dinner and show deals. The many festivals throughout the year include the Broadbeach Blues Festival, the Greek Festival, the Surfers Paradise Festival and Broadbeach Jazz Festival.
